Summer Something to Write About: Happy Birthday, Ron!

There is nothing more wonderful than to be able to fill your home with great food, great music, and great friends and family!  This was  certainly the case on Saturday, July 15, as we celebrated Ron's "Big One", actually two days after his birthday on July 13.  We decorated the house in a somewhat Mardi Gras theme with beads, boas, candles, and tiny lights.  Brenda Anderson, our neighbor, added her many design touches to help our house and front entrance look quite festive.

The real highlight of the night was having music supplied by Ron's Jazz group.  They were incredible and we had so much fun listening to them play.  The house was full of friends, old and new, and, of course, our very special guests, our kids:  Lindsay, Josh, Mandy, and Robert.

The jazz group played the greater part of the night.  However, after they finished, Ron's good friends, Brad Hill and Tom Nelson retrieved their guitar and mandolin from their cars and the music was on again!  It was so much fun to hear these guys play together again.  I think they were having a lot of fun, too.

Below are several pictures that will somewhat take you through the evening.  As the saying goes, "A great time was had by all!"
